Since 1988, all Bioderma, Institut Esthederm and Etat Pur products have been created and manufactured in France, in Aix-en-Provence, at the NAOS Les Laboratoires site. 119 million units were manufactured in 2019 and today, with an area of 20,000 m², an important step in the expansion and modernization of our production tool has just been completed.
This investment, of 60 million euros over the last 5 years, allows us to support the growth of our brands in a company where sales have increased fivefold in 10 years.
Thus, the surface area for emulsion production was multiplied by 2. Our choice fell on the acquisition of high-speed production tools, at the cutting edge of technology, which will allow us to double our manufacturing capacities.
The best-seller of the Bioderma brand, Sensibio H2O Micellar Water, has its own production unit. Every day 200,000 bottles of micellar water come out of NAOS Les Laboratoires.

NAOS ecobiological approach and high therapeutic expectations have pushed us to look for inspiration in the pharmaceutical industry. Therefore, all NAOS products are manufactured from raw materials whose quality undergoes stringent testing by our standards control Laboratory.
This internalized control department helps us to be fully in control of our formulas and to guarantee that our products meet the strict quality and safety standards that we demand. Our laboratory’s validation is mandatory before any raw material may be used in the manufacturing process. Each of our products undergoes an average of 125 tests, from the analysis of raw materials all the way to the final product and packaging.
